Spring and Summer Color

Think of your landscape as a blank canvas. That’s how our design department approaches adding color to your landscape. As spring gets underway, winter’s pansies and ornamental plants yield to waves of bright pink or deep purple petunias, banks of impatiens or bright foliage plants like coleus and sweet potato vines.

Be sure to check with your New Leaf maintenance manager to arrange for your design and to add your spring and summer color. We’re ordering early this year, so remember to call by March 30th to be among the first on our schedule.

Landscape Planting

Early spring is ideal for adding plants, trees and shrubs to your landscape. An investment choosing the proper plant for the right location and having it installed correctly is worth the cost, plus you can enhance your landscape for years to come.

Our landscape design department can guide you in the best plant choices – plants with several seasons of color, trees and shrubs to introduce new textures into your yard or specimen varieties that can become a focal point. Contact Beth Garmon in our design department to set up a consultation.

Giving Back to the Community

Planet is hosting a Day of Service in April to encourage its members to give back to the community. Our project at New Leaf is the Linwood Apartments Playground in Gainesville. It is well underway thanks to a generous donation of $2,000 from Lakewood Baptist Church toward the $12,000 project budget.

In addition to grading and adding landscape timbers, phase one includes building a playground with new equipment and child-safe mulch. We’ve donated the design and labor for the project and are seeking community support for this worthwhile project. If you’d like to know more, call us at (678) 450-6599.

New Leaf Wins Award

New Leaf Landscape Services has received an Award of Distinction from the Metropolitan Atlanta Landscape and Turf Association at its 2008 Professional Landscape Awards banquet. The company was recognized for its design and installation of a major new landscape at the mountain home of Norm and Angie Moye in Dahlonega.

The mountain home, nestled in the woods, is built in a cottage style. New Leaf designed a plan that would highlight the natural setting and be relatively maintenance free.

Steve Murray Named Treasurer

New Leaf President Steve Murray, a past president of MALTA’s northeast Georgia chapter, will serve as the organization’s treasurer for 2009.
